Following these words, the English Department of School of Humanities & Social Sciences, laid a platform of “FOOTPRINTS”, where juniors can follow the footsteps of seniors. A session conducted on 26th September 2016 for the juniors of BA, I sem, to see the different and amazing world of English Language and Literature through the eyes of their seniors PALAK & ANNAPURNA of BA, II sem.

It started with a beautiful introduction of juniors with seniors. Palak initiated with Renaissance period, it was so interestingly depicted that the students found themselves moving to the edge of their seats with curiosity to know more. She wrapped it up with two interesting games, putting the students out of their seats with excitement. But this was not enough. The students were longing for more. And they had another creative yet thought- provoking lecture from another student of second year BA English (Hons).

She started with a very creative activity, that captured the interest of the students from the very beginning. She, then, very shrewdly related that activity to John Milton\'s \'Paradise Lost\', and explained some twists and turns from the epic poem. The lectures were really stimulating and wrapped up with amazing activities. The session helped our newcomers see the different and amazing world of English Language and Literature which they might not have been able to see themselves. It was quite motivating interaction with seniors that laid a platform for the juniors who were enthusiastically ready to carry the legacy/ tradition forward.
