GD Goenka University was proud to be the Principal partner of 13th National Conference of Assocham India on the theme of \"Vision 2030 for Education, Skill Formation and Rural Transformation\" on June 28, 2019 at Hotel Taj Mahal, Man Singh Road, New Delhi. The conference was organized in association with All India Council for Technical Education & EPSI.

During the conference, a white-paper outlining the recommendations on the above theme was released by of Dr. K P Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India in the presence of Mr. Nipun Goenka, Managing Director, GD Goenka Group & Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council for Education and Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President-MREI & Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council for Education.



Dr. K P Krishnan while delivering the inaugural address stressed on establishing a strong employer connect and decentralization of the government’s skilling programs while incentivizing the demand for formal skilling.

The inaugural session was followed by three separate technical sessions on \"Revamping Higher Education\', \"Rural Transformation through Education\" & \"Skilling Architecture\" moderated by Padmashri Dr. Pritam Singh, Former Director IIM (L) & MDI, Gurgaon; Dr. GD Sharma, Former Secretary UGC & Prof. Vinayshil Gautam, Former Director, IIM (K) & Head- Management Studies, IIT (D) respectively.

Prof.(Dr.) Suku Bhaskaran, President GD Goenka University, Mrs, Bharti Sharma, Senior Director, GD Goenka Group and Mr. Pankaj Jindal, CEO - Skill Initiative, GD Goenka Group shared their experiences & thoughts as panelists.
