Industrial Visit to Datt Medi Products, Sohna

Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences ,SoMAS, GD Goenka University organised an industrial visit for the students of 2nd semester to Datt Medi Products, Sohna Gurgaon. Datt Medi products Pvt. Ltd. (DMP) established in 1995, catering to a large range of medical textile and advance wound care products which conform to the high standards of international quality, as a part of a well-diversified and sound conglomerate with wide ranging business interests in India and overseas. With an ultra-modern manufacturing plant in India having state of the art machinery synergizing with human expertise & a devoted team, Datt Medi Products aim at " Delivering Next-Gen Healing Solutions Globally" . Students got an opportunity to visit the plant with the officials working at the plant and were able to see the actual process flow of the manufacturing right form weaving to adhesive application, cutting, rolling and packaging of the finished product. Also the students got an exposure to the in-house Department of Life Sciences (DLS) ,a R&D wing of Datt Mediproducts Pvt. Ltd which has DSIR recognized center which is established to develop avenues in healthcare and biotechnologies.The students visited the lab facilities and interacted with the extensive and very experienced research professionals who explained the current R&D activity including development and evaluation of biomedical devices (cellular and a-cellular) for advance wound management towards healing and restoring lives. It was a very informative and learning experience for the students .The visit provided an excellent opportunity to get familiar with the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry environment.
