Industry Visit Report UFlex Ltd

An industry visit was organised for MBA second year by School of management of GD Goenka University on 16thNovember, 2021. It was a knowledge generating initiative taken by the university where the students could learn about the actual manufacturing process and gain practical knowledge regarding Uflex Ltd processes.

Students and the factory followed the covid guidelines and necessary precautions strictly by getting sanitised and maintaining social distancing .Students were given N-97 mask manufactured by Uflex . During the visit, they met HR manager who introduced them to the Uflex manufacturing plant and shared with them, the history, product line, market capital and processes of the factory through a small video presentation.

Further, the students were sorted out in a group of 15 with combined three groups and each group were provided a separate guide to factory. Then students were first introduced to the sheets which were made by the company and were placed in raw materials section, students also saw the raw materials that are used for all processes that goes on in the factory. Students were shown machines which do printing and colouring work and the chemicals that are used to print packaging sheets after printing task is done. Students were introduced to delivery warehouse where the final lot is placed and loaded in trucks to reach client place. As packaging requires a lot of use of plastic waste Uflex Ltd has in house recycle plant in which all the waste that Uflex Ltd. produce is being recycled and put to best of its use. After that students assembled at common area and shared the feedback with HR managers of the entire visit of the factory.

Students thoroughly enjoyed and learnt from the industry visit.
