Professor Barry O’Mahony (PhD, University of Melbourne, Australia; Masters by Research - Business Education, Victoria University, Australia) is the Dean, College of Business and Professor of Services Management at Abu Dhabi University (United Arab Emirates). Immediately prior to this, Barry was the Chief Academic Officer at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland and prior to this he was the Dean, Faculty of Business, University of Wollongong (Dubai Campus). Barry has held leadership and faculty positions at Le Cordon Bleu (Sydney, Australia), Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and Victoria University (Australia). Barry’s extensive experience of teaching undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and executive education programmes in Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, USA and across the Middle East, is supported by his proven expertise in academic governance, research and programme development, accreditation, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Barry has a demonstrable commitment to industry and community engagement and a passion for delivering an outstanding student experience. He is widely published in top-tier scholarly journals such as International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality, The Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, and Annals of Leisure Research.
