National Mathematics Day- 22nd Dec 2021

SoES celebrated National Mathematics day on 22 Dec 2021, honouring the birth anniversary of Great Mathematician Srinivas Ramanjuam. The event Started with Lamp lighting and welcome of the Dignitaries, Dr. Rohit Dutt, Dean Academics, GDGU and Dr. Dhirendra Parihar, Registrar GDGU, by the Dr. Naresh Sharma, Head, SoES. Dr. Sharma discussed about the life history of Srinavas and also shared importance of Mathematics. Dr Rohit Dutt shared a few words on National Mathematics day. This was then followed by an interesting Expert lecture by Dr. Neetu Gupta, Professor and Chairperson, Department of Mathematics, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. Students of GDGU, presented a short skit with a meaningful message of importance of Mathematics. The event organizers Dr. Deepika and Dr.Sonika Sethi ended the event with a vote of thanks.
