Department of Education (DoEd), School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education organised an event to celebrate world ozone day the theme of which , this year is Global Cooperation Protecting Life on Earth .

On 19 December 1994, the UN General Assembly proclaimed 16 September to be the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, commemorating the date when the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer was signed in 1987.

The event started with the performance of the group song by B.Ed. sem III students which was followed by a solo song by Varsha B.Ed. sem III followed by interesting documentary on ozone depletion by Shreyashi B.Ed. sem III followed by evocative speech by Swati & Mansi from B.Ed. sem III , Gaurav from B.Ed. sem I which was followed by poetry on environmental conservation by Rajshree B.Ed. sem I , Khushboo B.Ed. sem III , Somesh B.Ed. sem I . The last activity was an informative debate done on deforestation by Ashu and Shimita B.Ed. sem III students.

The event concluded with felicitating faculty members of the Department of Education with plants as token of appreciation. Dr. Parvesh Lata (Head,DOEd) and Dr. Mira Mishra (Assistant Professor,DoEd) gave a vote of thanks at the end of the event.
