Re-Registration and Orientation Programme of Existing Students at School of Education (SoEd)

“A new journey to be started. A new promise to be fulfilled. A new page to be written.”

The academic session 2017-18 commenced with great enthusiasm for the existing batches of student-teachers of School of Education (SoEd), G D Goenka University on August 21, 2017. The day began with re-registration of student-teachers. Adhering to the mandate of the UGC, student-teachers were shown anti-ragging videos.

This was followed by a highly motivating orientation session conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Reva Raina, Dean, SoEd. During her address to the student-teachers and faculty, Prof. Raina conveyed her blessings and best wishes to everyone for beginning afresh with grit and determination. She focussed on curricular, co-curricular and moral aspects to be adhered by the student-teachers and gave them tips for leading an enriching life.

The Course Plan, Time Table and Credit Requirements for various programmes were shared with student-teachers. New faculty members were introduced. In addition, the details of the First National Conference ERA 2017 to be organised on October 6, 2017 were announced. Also, the student-teachers were introduced to the mission and vision of G D Goenka Centre for Leadership and Social Responsibility (GDCLSR) and they were asked to volunteer to actively participate in its activities. Post- lunch session comprised of fun- filled games and team-bonding activities.
