A team of 3rd year students from GD Goenka School of Architecture and Planning - Akshat Jain, DheerajSaini, MeghaBisht, ShikhaSaxena and SheruParjapati, participated in a student competition conducted as part of the Chandigarh Urban Festival in March 2018. Various colleges across India participated in the said event.

The competition was held to create awareness regarding the \"Crowded Sector 17 of Chandigarh\" and enable a formal vendor scheme for the market area.

Our students demonstrated a \'Concept of Earth Filled Recycled Plastic Bottle Walls and Bamboo Shelter for the Kiosk\' along with their ideas for future expansion and maintaining a human scale. The proposals submitted by our students were considered as some of the main USPs of the project, thereby leading them to emerge as \'TOP WINNERS\' at the event. The team was awarded certificates, a souvenir of Chandigarh and a cash prize for their superlative efforts and final presentations.

GD Goenka University proudly congratulates the School of Architecture and Planning for this crowning achievement.
