School of Engineering, GD Goenka University, in association with CampusOxide, organized a Seminar attended by CSE IInd and IIIrd year students along with faculty members, on 28th February 2018. Campus Oxide is one of the incubatee companies at “PadUp Ventures” (A Startup Incubator founded by Harvard, MIT, IITD and IIMA Alumnus).



The seminar was conducted by Mr.O.N.Rai, Director & CEO, CampusOxide Solutions. He discussed the importance of simulation and project based learning to attain excellence and building a future ready workforce for nation. He further accentuated, how CampusOxide team is proving out to bea catalyst in this domain.In context of Digital Era, Mr. Rai discussed the importance of engaging students in projects that are based on real life experiences, as this plays a pivotal role in making students’ internship ready during campus interviews. Further, to ensure quality learning, mentor support should be provided for guidance, monitoring and timely completion and submission to the companies. These projects may be used for ‘Talent Assessment\' and \'Pre-screening\' during campus interviews.



Today, industries are struggling to find talent from campuses and the students, to earn internships and seek placements, reason being gaps in the education.The seminar therefore focused on bridging these gaps by imparting skill/s through project based experiential learning that would make them more employable and bring in a paradigm shift in Campus Placements.



The seminar also inlaid understanding of job and career opportunities along with internships in various domains and companies. It was an interactive session for students where they openly shared queries like, how someone could seek a project-based learning and which type of technologies are in demand.
