Transcend – Farewell to Class of 2018

With the wish for a very successful innings in the near future, GD Goenka University bid adieu to its yet another batch of students during a farewell ceremony “Transcend” organized on 19 April 2018. The event was hosted to perfection as an unforgettable farewell to the graduating students by their junior students in a very well organized and fabulous manner led by faculty coordinators of all schools and Dean Student Welfare, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik. “Transcend 2018” commenced with the address by Honourable Vice Chancellor, GDGU, Prof. (Dr.) Shrihari. He wished the students the best for all their future endeavours, encouraged them to have a holistic view of the world once they enter their professional career and advised them to always remain humane, grounded and empathetic. After the Vice Chancellor’s address, the Deans of all the schools addressed their passing out students with parting words and blessings.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the schools and it was a perfect blend of culture and modern trends, in a colourful ceremony comprising of mellifluous songs, foot- tapping Western and Classical Dance performances, Poetry recitation and emotional speeches by the students. The juniors also gave very befitting titles to their seniors and shared an emotional and enthralling video comprising of the memories of their seniors at GDGU during their respective courses.

During this ceremony, the passing out students thoroughly enjoyed getting their pictures clicked at the photo booth specially designed for them and also equally enjoyed dancing on the DJ floor. The outgoing batch of students, who attended the programme were visibly moved by the warm wishes they received from their juniors and faculty members.
