GD Goenka University bade farewell to yet another batch of pass-out students with its farewell program, Transcend, held from 18-19 April 2024. The day saw Schools from all over the University gathering together to celebrate and felicitate students who had graduated from the University. It was a day full of nostalgia and memories as students came together for one last time to meet their peers and teachers before moving on to pursue further courses of future endeavours.

Each of the schools of the University organized a final get- together for the students which saw the students being addressed by the respective Dean/Head, followed by cultural performances, experience sharing by the outgoing students and the bestowing of souvenirs with personalized cards with a title for each student. The closing ceremony saw the students being presented with a fun memory-lane video and a Group Photograph with their batchmates and teachers. The second half of the day saw the students and respective deans/heads, faculty and staff come together in the auditorium where they were addressed by the Vice-chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Kim Menezes followed by the highlight of the day -- the award ceremony including the giving of the titles of Mr. & Miss Goenkan, as also the awards for two outstanding performers from each school for overall achievements in Co-Curricular Activities presented by Dean Student Welfare & International Relations, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik.

The title of Mr. Goenkan was given to Ravishu Balyan, Bachelor of Pharmacy, School of Health & Allied Sciences and the title of Miss Goenkan went to Divyansha, BA Psychology Honours, School of Liberal Arts.

 The day also saw three student leaders who had proved their merit across academics and extracurriculars being awarded with the Star Performer Awards. The winners for the same were:

● Manafa Paul Chuka, B. Pharma, School of Heathcare & Allied Sciences
● Vivek, BBA, School of Management

Additionally, students were also recognized for their contribution to BSA Techno, BSA Sports and the NSS. The achievers recognized for BSA Techno were:

● Dakshyani Rayamajhi, Bachelor of Arts, Economics (Honors), School of Liberal Arts
● Shrish Bharti, , Bachelor of Arts, Economics (Honors), School of Liberal Arts


The achievers recognized for BSA Sports were:
● Seema Gulia, Master of Business Administration, School of Management
● Ankush Sharma, Bachelor of Pharmacy, School of Medical & Allied Sciences


The achievers recognized for NSS were:
● Tushant Kumar, Integrated Bachelor of Technology, Master of Buisness Administration, School of Management
● Smarth Chawla, MBA, School of Management


The awards for outstanding contribution in co-curricular activities from respective Schools are as follows:

● School of Medical & Allied Sciences winners were Abheek Roy, MPH, & Hasan Nanbol Bawa, Master in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Microbiology
● School of Management winners were Devanshi Pasricha, MBA & Trupti Agarwal, MBA
● School of Law winners were Akanksha Kumari, BBA LLB & Aayush Bhardwaj BA.LLB
● School of Engineering & Sciences winners were Mir Arieba, B Sc. Forensics & Akshay Singh Antal, B. Tech ME
● School of Liberal Arts winners were Anushka Rai, BA English Hons. & Gaurav Dawar, Bachelor of Education
● School of Hospitality & Tourism winners were Aneesha Gupta, BHMCT & Ayush Singh Sengar, DiCA
● School of Agricultural Sciences winners were Kanika Raghav, BSc Hons, Agriculture & T Shine Aaron, BSc Agriculture 
● School of Media & Entertainment winners were Vachika Sharma, BAJMC & Mayamiko Sabawo, MAJMC
● UID, United World Institute of Design winners were Angel Bhardwaj, B. Design, Product Design & Jayant Gupta, B. Design, Fashion Design
● Centre of Vocational Studies winners were Sonam Mishra, MBA, & Singh Pulkit Kumar Ashok Kumar, MBA 


The event saw cultural performances by the very talented BSA music club, Saptak, and the dance club, Reverie. The day concluded with a group photograph of all the winners along with the Vice-chancellor, Heads/Deans, faculties and organizing members of the event. The students were given a final night of celebration with refreshments in the student refectory and a musical DJ evening.
