Webinar: Grid Balancing with E-Mobility Mon Jul 16, 2021 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM (IST)

school of Engineering and Sciences has successfully organised a Webinar on “Grid Balancing with E-Mobility” on 16th July, 2021 from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. The guest speaker was Dr. Chandrashekhar Reddy Alta, Deputy General Manager at PRDC and the guest lecture was moderated by Dr. Varnita Verma, Assistant Professor: Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering and Sciences, G D Goenka University. The basic motive of scheduling this guest lecture was the growing demand of the students/researchers to know about Technology Trend in Electronic Mobility and Electric Vehicle and its applicability in different fields. 36 participants benefited from this session through google meet. 

The programme started with the welcome address by Dr. Varnita Verma. Thereafter, Dr. Chandrashekhar Reddy Alta gave students and faculty a notion regarding Grid balancing in the field of E-Mobility. The pivot discussion point was on e-Mobility which is one of the most important fields of interest in the frame of green energy utilization, new technologies are now available for employment in the system Vehicle - User - Infrastructure. The equilibrium and stabilization of the electric system is a critical aspect but the grid balancing support can be obtained through Electric Vehicles mobile storage. Electric Vehicle infrastructure Eco-system can provide load management as well as grid support services. Student’s attention was also drawn on upcoming technology in E-Mobility with suitable examples. Dr. Chandrashekhar Reddy Alta also enlighten students about various upcoming projects and demand of E-Mobility in the coming future. Discussions on new technology enhancement make the lecture more interactive and interesting. The session ends by providing vote of thanks from Ms. Ashu Gautam, Faculty In-charge, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
