Workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) awareness

School of Engineering and Sciences (SoES), GD Goenka University organized a workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) awareness’, in collaboration with Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India,  on 28^th December 2021. The session was inaugurated by prof. Tabrez Ahmed, Vice Chancellor, GDGU, followed by a welcome speech by the Convener of the workshop, Dr. Naresh Sharma, Head of SOES. The eminent speakers of the session Mr. Sunil Kachoia, Examiner of Trade Marks, NIPAM officer, Mr. RajKumar Meena and Mr. Rahul Dhakad, Examiner of Patents and Design, NIPAM officer, enlightened the participants about the trademarks and geographical indicators, patents and designs, followed by an interactive session with the participants. The workshop was successfully organized and conducted by the organizing members, Dr. Sonika Sethi, Assistant Professor, SoES, Dr. Soumita Talukdar, Assistant professor, SoES and Dr. Renu Singh, Assistant Professor, SoES. The students, faculty members and staff of GD Goenka University participated actively for the interactive session while their individual queries were addressed patiently by the NIPAM officers.
