Workshop on World Ozone Day Celebration, “Ozone for Life: 36 Years of Ozone Layer Protection” is organized by Department of Basic & Applied Sciences, School of Engineering & Sciences on 16th September 2021. The workshop was held with an objective to make the students aware about the role of ozone in the environment and to know about the phase out of controlled uses of ozone depleting substances to protect the Ozone Layer for this and future generations.

The workshop is started with cordial welcome speech by Prof. (Dr.) Usha Batra, Dean, SOES and Dr. Naresh Sharma, HoD, Department of Basic & Applied Sciences. The ride to workshop is commenced with the visual presentation on ozone layer depletion and documentary film showing “How to save ozone layer?”. Students of drama club presented drama to give the knowledge about bad impacts of ozone depletion. It preceded with slogan writing and poster making competition on the topic of ozone layer protection. Students participated in both the competition with full enthusiasm and elaborated causes & way of protections with the help of slogan and Poster.

Finally the workshop was concluded by announcement of the winners of the competitions and vote of thanks.
