World Environment Day celebrated by SoES

School of Engineering and Sciences celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 on the university premises following the United Nation’s principle of encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

The event commenced with a brief note on the importance of World Environment Day by Dr Prerna Sharma. 

Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.S. Satyanarayana, Dr.Dhirender Singh Parihar, Registrar, Dr. Harmanpreet Kaur, Deputy Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Manish Prateek, Dean, of School of Engineering and Sciences, Prof. Nihal Siddiqui, Director Centre of Excellence in Fire, Safety and Environment, and other department deans, faculty members and students participated in the event.

Many plants were grown during the event. Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.S. Satyanarayana presented his views regarding the significance of a clean environment in our lives. The event ended up with a vote of thanks given by Prof. (Dr.) Manish Prateek, Dean School of Engineering and Sciences.
