The School of Engineering and Sciences celebrated World Environment Day on 3rd June in lieu of 5th June.
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5th June and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

The event started up with briefing about the World Environment Day and its importance. Thereafter, the planation activity was held at GD Goenka university. Araucaria Columnaris commonly known as Christmas Tree was planted at the field of GD Goenka University by Honorable Vice- Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad, Registrar Dr. Dhirender Singh Parihar, Major Kartikey Sharma and Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Sharma, Head School of Engineering and Sciences. Deans and faculty members from different departments were also present to participate in the event. Thereafter, Honorable Vice- Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad presented his views regarding the event.

The event ended up with the vote of thanks given by Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Sharma, Head School of Engineering and Sciences.
