In order to establish a true programming culture at GD Goenka University (GDGU), the CodeChef Campus Chapter organized an orientation session cum workshop on 6th Feb, 2015. The CodeChef Chapter named ‘GDGU-Achievers’ was recently founded at the university for aspiring engineers and other enthusiastic programmers with an objective to promote competitive programming culture that will help students become better problem solvers. The Campus Chapter is headed by Faculty Advisor, Ms. Vasudha Vashisht. Second year B. Tech. (CSE) students attended this session on “Competitive Learning and Programming” . The two hour long event included an Introduction to CodeChef, Online Judges and advantages of Competitive Programming.
The session was delivered by Mr. Anup Kalbalia and Mr. D. Chanukya (Officers of Directi) who have been promoting competitive learning through CodeChef. CodeChef is a non-commercial organization operated by Directi, an Indian software company based in Mumbai.
