6th E-Convocation

The 6th Convocation of G D Goenka University was held online on 4th September 2021... Mrs Renu Goenka, Honourable Chancellor, G D Goenka University and Vice Chairperson, G D Goenka Group, presided over the event with its ceremonial “Opening Announcement”. Following this Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad delivered his graduation address wherein he, urged the students to be change-makers of the future. His words of wisdom include, “We are heading into amazing times, the next two decades will witness brilliant inventions and innovations that will radically change how we live and work”. The occasion also witnessed the presentation of the University's annual report by VC Sir. He praised the institution's academic performance and students' accomplishments. Sir also highlighted the major achievements and accolades of the University being bestowed towards the University’s all-around excellence.

The immense warmth of the event was radiant when the congratulatory message of the Honourable Vice President of India, Shri. M. Venkaiah Naidu was opened to the graduating students; some notable excerpts of which are” Quality higher education is vital for India's growth and development and universities have a major role to play in driving this transformation is to produce well-rounded and skilled human resources to meet the 21st-century requirements”.

Vibrant Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani, also addressed the virtual gathering and especially students, she had all praise and encouragement for the students and urged them to always remember their professional values, work ethics, and above all humanity.

The formal speeches were followed by recognition of achievers of the passing batch by way of prize distribution in various categories. In all a massive 880+ Under Graduates, Post-graduates and Doctoral Students were awarded degrees in the convocation,

In the school of medical and allied sciences Dinesh Kumar (D. Pharmacy), Neetu (B. Pharmacy), Uma Raghav ( B.P.T) Preeti Pandey (Bsc. MLT) bagged first positions and was honoured by bestowing Gold Medal, Gaurav (D. Pharmacy), Dikansha Trikha (B. Pharmacy), Kusum Madan ( B.P.T), Maya (Bsc. MLT), Anya Jain (BNH) was honoured with a silver medal, Priya Kumari (D. Pharmacy) was honoured with a bronze medal, the ethos and spirits of the students was at high adrenaline pitch that could be felt even in the virtual environment.

Finally, the convocation was concluded with the pledge and best wishes to all the Degree holders by the Registrar, Dr. Dhirendra Singh Parihar and wishes and blessings by the Vice-chancellor and Dr. Rohit Dutt, Dean School of Medical and Allied Sciences.
