Emergency situations may occur anywhere and at any time. And schools must generate a significant concern in dealing with these emergencies. However, due to the lack of knowledge and proper training teachers maybe unprepared to provide the initial care at the scene, often aggravating the victim\'s situation. Given this reality, a training course/ workshop or even the inclusion of first aid knowledge in the curriculum of schools and teacher education institutions is extremely necessary. Considering same, the School of Education(SoEd) in association with Medanta -The Medicity organized “First Aid and Basic Life Support Camp” on April 28, 2017 for the student teachers of B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed., PGDEM (MS), M.A. (ELM) and B.Ed.

During the training camp, the team from Medanta demonstrated and showed videos on basic life support during emergency situations such as choking, heart attack, breathlessness, fainting, nose bleeding, cuts and wounds and organ amputation. They made participants practice CPR on infant and adult dummies. In the end, the team trained the faculty and students on dressings and bandage. A truly useful camp for all everyone.
