Group Discussion Event

School of Engineering and Sciences organized a Group Discussion Event titled ‘How to do well in group discussions’ on 9^th Feb, 2022 from 10:50 am -12:30 pm. The event was addressed by Ms. Tarannum Naseem Raza, Professional Career Counselor, TIMES. Total 30 students attended this session.

Ms. Tarannum Naseem Raza started her talk with the basics of group discussion. She focused upon the importance of group discussion, when and why you need public speaking, types of group discussions, what to avoid during group discussions, various performance parameters pertaining to group discussions, scoring in group discussions and finally the taboos for the same.

After the detail information on the above said topics Ms. Tarannum Naseem Raza divided the participants into Group A and Group B. Participants of group A were asked to have their group discussion on “Social Media –Boon or Bane”  whereas participants of group B were asked to express their views regarding “Blue Colour”. 15 minutes time was allotted to each group. When both the group finished their group discussion, Ms. Tarannum Naseem Raza highlighted their weakness and strength for the same. Overall, it was very informative and interactive event for the students.The event was concluded by giving vote of thanks to Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Sharma and Ms. Tarannum Naseem Raza
