Introduction:
The field visit is an integral part of the teaching learning process which gives significant insight
of knowledge at natural settings. Keeping this view, an industrial visit to Chandu Village via KVK Shikhopur , Gurugram, Haryana was organized by School of Agricultural Sciences on Tuesday, 7 th September 2021. Thirty three students and two faculties visited to Chandu Village via KVK Shikhopur to interact with the knowledge sharing, capacity building and to acquaint modern agricultural technology etc. In this visit students were very eagerly waiting for interacting with innovative farmers awarded by KVK, Shikhopur.

Detailed Description:
In the morning at 9:30 am we visited to KVK. One resource person Dr. Meena came with us for field visit to Tejandra Yadav’s Farm. We reached farm at 11:30am with students. He motivated to the students to select exotic vegetables in lieu of normal vegetables. He also guided the students for protected cultivation & selling his product to Big Basket & nearby societies. After this we visited to value addition unit of Mrs. Pooja Sharma. She is an innovative farmer and received awards from Govt of Haryana for her value addition unit. She prepared processed cookies, namkeen, matri etc. She also provided training to female nearby her Chandu Village. She guided the students for cost effective, efficient & profitability of the product.

She also provided information about how to make product according to consumers taste and preferences. The visit came to an end at 3:00 pm.  It was an informative, interesting and a successful visit.
