Reva 2021

It was a day for the Freshers at the GD Goenka University, Gurugram on 12th November 2021. The university formally celebrated the new beginning of the students who have taken admissions this semester. REVA 2021 was one of the most awaited events in the university since the time it opened after the second wave lockdown. Organized by the Board of Students Activities under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik, Dean, Student Welfare & International Relations, the event was filled with energy and full of enthusiasm and zeal. The amphitheater in the university campus was thronged with fresh faces. Grey, White and Red were the dress code for the day. There were award competitions, cultural activities, DJ and celebrations throughout the day.

The day started with music, dance and singing performances. After that, we saw competitions like Mr. & Miss Fresher, Mr. & Miss Talented, Mr. & Miss Personality, Mr. & Miss Vivacious and Best Dressed Male & Female. The event was presided by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad. The Jury for the competitions consists of Ms. Karishmaa Singhal crowned as World Super Model South Asia Aqua beauty 2018, Miss India Congeniality 2018 and Miss India Planet Runner Up 2020. The second and third members in the Jury were dancer Mr. Rahul and Advocate Mr. Govind Bali, both of them are Alumni of GD Goenka University.

Talking about the winners, the Jury selected Dhruv Shandilya from SoES and Chhavi Joshi from SoL for Mr. and Miss Fresher. Vaibhav Shrivastav from CVS and Karuna TK from SoES for Mr. and Miss Talented. Mr. and Miss Personality were backed by Prashant and Nikita Yadav both from SoMAS. Winners in Mr. and Miss Vivacious category were Dennis Samuel Mathew from SoC and Aditi Kaushik from SoES. Finally, in the Best Dressed category Yash Jakhar from SoMAS and Zoya Ali Khan from SoL won the Prizes.

Overall, this day will remain a memorable day for all the freshers in GD Goenka University till the new batch joins the university next year.
