Ending is never absolute, it is only a beginning of new things. Like a year ends only to start a new year with new hopes, new desires and new dreams, a night ends only to a new day with new beginnings. This was the spirit of Transcend 2016, organised by G D Goenka University to bid farewell to the passing out students. The farewell event saw students from all the schools participating in full fervour, decked up in the finest of clothes and wearing lots of smile to spend that one last time at their college.

The event commenced with an address from Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor D.K Jha who blessed the students and assured them of the continuous support by GDGU for all times to come.The guest of Honour, Ms. Marta Maria, faculty at the Politechnico Di Milano advised students to be fearless and passionate towards their work. To start off the festivities, a group of talented students from the junior batch sang their way onto the stage as the audience cheered and clapped.The students conducted a cultural medley of dances, music and co-created loads of fun and laughter. There were exciting games such as slip of a tongue, truth or dare, Mr. Hawa Hawai and Ms. Dabang which the seniors played along with gusto followed by well thought of prizes. A video showcasing their â€œJourney at GDGUâ€ was played which made them misty eyed and all wished their college days could go on forever. Students from all schools thanked their teachers, Deans and the university to have given them such great opportunities and a time of their life along with a great future.

The university also gifted each students with a souvenir that will remind them of their alma mater and treated all to a high tea organised in their honour where they bonded again with friends and teachers and made memories.
