WEBINAR ON "Recent Developments in Mechanical Engineering” 30 July 2020 at 11:00 AM

A webinar was conducted in order to enhance online learning skills of our faculties and students. The Department of Mechanical Engineering is hosting on Recent Developments in Mechanical Engineering Resource persons: Dr. Vinay Vakharia, Assistant Professor, Dr. Jatin Patel, Associate Professor and Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, PDEU University, Gujrat.

The event started with an inaugural address by Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Gupta, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, GD Goenka University Sohna, Gurgaon. Dr. Gupta extended his warm welcome to the participants and Resource Persons of the Webinar.

Dr.Vinay Vakharia completed his Ph.D. from IIITDM Jabalpur in 2015 in the area of Fault diagnosis. He has applied Signal Processing techniques such as wavelets and artificial intelligence techniques to diagnose various bearing faults. He highlighted Machine Learning and its Application for vibration analysis. He elaborated about the Machine Learning application used with artificial Intelligence techniques, key indicators and the subsequent need of signal and image processing involved in the study. He also discussed the vibration analysis about these criterions.

Dr. Jatin Patel, Associate Professor, PDEU University, Gujrat presented a detailed presentation on research projects completed by their students. He highlighted the solar and refrigeration system. He also discussed the renewable energy for desalination and water treatment processes and their development with the help of software tools.

Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Assistant Professor, PDEU University, Gujrat gave a comprehensive presentation on Electrochemical Discharge Machining (ECDM) process. He elaborated about different machining processes, comparison and applications. He also discussed the material removal mechanism of ECDM process, MRR Mechanism and magneto-hydrodynamic approach. Lastly, in his session he briefed about the electrolyte conductivity measurement.
