Workshop on ‘Introduction to Chatbots’

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) club successfully conducted a two hour long workshop on ‘Introduction to Chatbots’ on 11th August 2021. The workshop was inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.) Usha Batra, Associate Dean, School of Engineering and Sciences She enlightened the students with the importance of Artificial Intelligence in today’s era and praising the students for indulging in a topic like the Introduction to Chatbots as it has practical functionality to it. Students were encouraged to exchange the knowledge with each other.The organization team included Sujit Sutradhar, Sugam Singh from Btech CSE - 3rd semester and Lucky Mishra from BCA 5th semester.

The workshop was conducted via online mode. A demonstration program of a Chatbox was developed using Python which made the participants understand the basics of chatbot. A GUI of Chatbot was designed and its code was shared with all the participants. The organizing team ensured to resolve all the queries of the participants. Being a workshop on the implementation and the workings of chatbots with 46 attendees it was a great success. Dr. Arpita Nagpal,Dr. Ruchi Panwar and Ms. Alina Baneerjee, faculty coordinators of AI & ML Club, supervised the entire event.
