GD Goenka School of Humanities & Social Sciences organised a workshop on \"Twitter, Centre for Social Research on Twee surfing and Gender Justice in India” on 16th April, 2018.

Twitter, one of the leading social media platforms globally, observed that there is a massive gender gap especially in the Global South, in terms of how boys and girls use social media networks they build in return.

The objective of the workshop was to understand the usage patterns, challenges and requirements of Twitter by the users between the age groups of 15 and 28 years. Further, the representative also responded to queries on where gender gap often leads to online gender abuse and violence. Twitter, along with Centre for Social Research feels the need to address the student communities in India to build awareness thereby increasing social media usage and digital responsibility.
