e-Sessions on Networking Opportunities

e-Sessions conducted by Dr. A. P. Singh on Networking Opportunities with Industry
Professionals and Recruiters for students of SoAS

On April 2021 (7th, 21st, and 28th), weekly interactive sessions were organized by Dr. A. P. Singh in online mode to facilitate the students with industrial opportunities in the field of agriculture. Regional heads of renowned industries Syngenta, IFFCO, and Nestle were invited for providing detailed information on the industries to the students. These opportunities provided students with the chance to connect with industry professionals and recruiters and gain a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the field.

During the events, students had the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into the day-
to-day work, challenges, and opportunities in the field. They also had the chance to learn about
different career paths and the skills and experiences that are valued by employers.
The networking events were not just limited to agriculture but also extended to other fields such
as biotechnology, agri-business, food science and technology, and others, allowing students to
broaden their perspectives and explore a range of career options.

In addition, Dr. Singh also provided guidance on how to effectively network and make a positive
impression on potential employers. He stressed the importance of having a professional resume,
knowing what to say during a conversation, and making meaningful connections with industry
professionals.
