School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education 2022 organised a cultural event for the celebration of Independence Day under the theme “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on the university premises on 17 August 2022 under the guidance of Dr. Parvesh Lata(HoD)and Dr. Sunita Sehrawat(Assistant Professor) CCA incharge, Department of Education. and

This was India’s 76th Independence Day and was celebrated with much gusto.

The event started with a tilak ceremony for the Dean, Prof. Anjali Midha, and other faculty members of SOHSE. The day was celebrated with high-level energy and enthusiasm.

The event started with a Saraswati Vandana, which was followed by a fun filled quiz by Divya and Priya sem VII students on various quotes by our freedom. This was followed by a soul-stirring speech from Pratham. Kirti, our vivacious host for the function enraptured everyone with riddles that made everyone think. After the riddle, Ritik showcased a beautiful video on what Independence meant before and what independence means to Indians now. Around 102 students participated in the event and made it successful.

The event was concluded by congratulatory remarks given by the Dean, SOHSE and with National anthem.
