Qualification: Good academic recordwith Master’s Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines and should have qualified UGC NET/GATE/SLET or equivalent.

Experience: Prior teaching, research and industry experience shallbe given additional weightage.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Engage and deliver high-quality instructions in terms of teaching, labs, skilling and experiential learning to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their domain of expertise.
• Responsible for conducting original research, publishing findings in academic journals, presenting at conferences, and seeking external research funding.
• Supervising PhD Research Scholars for their PhD work.
• Initiate efforts to work with industries for student internships/ projects, training for industrial personnel and collaborative research grants.
• Participating in curriculum committees, propose new courses/labs, and update existing courses/labs to align with current trends and advancements in their field.
• Serving as academic advisors to students, providing guidance and support in their academic and career pursuits.
• Actively participate in departmental and university service activities.

Experience (Desirable):A minimum of eightyears of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research/ industry positionequivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry, including a minimum of two PhD awarded under his/her supervision. They should have a minimum of ten publications in the peer reviewed/UGC listed journals with a reasonable amount of citations of their published work. Should have also carried out a couple of funded projects as PI/ Co-PI from government agencies or from industries.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Engage and deliver high-quality instructions in terms of teaching, labs, skilling and experiential learning to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their domain of expertise
• Maintain a high standard of delivery of instruction, develop course materials, deliver lectures, lead discussions, set, mark and assess examinations related workand assess student performance to provide guidance and  feedback to students.
• Conductoriginal research, publish in reputable academic journals, present at conferences.
• Supervise graduate students and PhD Research Scholars for their PhD work and collaborate with colleagues on research projects.
• Associate Professors as they engage in active research, contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their discipline, are also expected to mentor younger faculty to create a team for sustainable research in their area of expertise in the university.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives, collaborate with industry partners, or provide professional expertise to relevant organizations including initiating efforts towards student internships/ projects, training for industrial personnel and collaborative research grants.

• Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the said discipline.
• Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
• Contribution to educational innovations such as designing of new curriculum and/ or outstanding performing achievement in the field of specialization including engage and mentor younger faculty and help them deliver high-quality instructions in terms of teaching, labs, skilling and experiential learning to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their domain of expertise
• Develop the quality assurance framework within the University’s overall framework, including the validation and revalidation of courses, and student admission and assessment.
• Participation in National/International Seminars/Conferences/ Workshops and/ or
  recipient of National/International Awards/ Fellowships
• Lead and coordinate research activity in the subject including determining relevant research objectives, and preparing research proposals with other educational institutions / national or international bodies.
• Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using other appropriate media and seek practical application of research findings.
• Professors as they engage in active research and carry out independent research projects acting as principal investigator/ project leader, as a referee:contribute to peer assessment, thus contributing to the advancement of knowledge in their discipline, are also expected to mentor younger faculty, to create a team for sustainable research in their area of expertise in the university.
• Prepare and submit proposals and applications to external bodies, e.g. for funding and accreditation purposes.
• Contribute to University-wide planning and strategic development, and departmental-level strategic planning.
• Chair committees and participate in University decision-making and governance &promote
  and market the work of the Faculty and University in the subject area both nationally and
