Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad

Vice-Chancellor & Dean, School of Law

Dr. Tabrez Ahmad is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of the GD Goenka University and Dean, School of Law. Dr. Tabrez Ahmad’s expertise is in the area of cyber law, intellectual property rights, energy law, and jurisprudence with a background in commercial law. He has taught these subjects for nearly 21 years at universities such as the W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences (Kolkata), KIIT University (Bhubaneswar), Alliance University (Bengaluru), University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (Dehradun), and Galgotias University (Greater Noida).

Tabrez Ahmad holds a PhD (Cyber Law & IPR), LLM (Commercial Law & Cyber Law); and B.Sc (Combined Hons) (Zoology, Botany & Chemistry) from the AM University Aligarh, India. Prior to taking up the current role in May, 2020, Tabrez Ahmad served in academic and administrative positions such as Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean School of Law, Galgotias University; Director & Dean School of Law, UPES; Professor & Founder Director, Alliance School of Law; Founder Director DILS, University of Burdwan; In-charge of the IPR Cell of UPES-UCOST (Uttrakhand Council of Science & Technology); Professor of Cyber Law & IPR at KIIT University; Mentor at Technology Business Incubator, NSTEDB, Govt. of India; and founding faculty at NUJS Kolkata. Tabrez is founder Technolex Foundation and National President PNGI forum. He is also the Director at Federation of Education Leaders and Administrators foundation, National Vice President of International Council of Jurists London, Chair, Legal Education Section of Indian National Bar Association and Industry Mentor at World Teen Parliament MPs. of Blub World. He is in the advisory panel of various academic and professional institutions of International repute. A Prolific speaker on Higher Education Systems and Processes, Multi-disciplinary research, NEP, Cyberlaw, IPR & Energy Law. Delivered Keynotes and speaker in more than 100 prestigious International conferences held in, USA, UK, China, Japan, UAE, Egypt, Singapore, etc. He has also practiced for a while at the bar of Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India. He has authored a pioneering book entitled "Cyber Law, E-commerce and M-commerce", and published more than 100 papers in reputed journals. He is an active blogger, Youtuber, and editor of various International journals. By New York USA based SSRN he is ranked among the Top 100 Law Authors in the World. He is among the IPLEADERS-2019 Top 100 most followed LinkedIn lawyers and has been ranked at 13 in the world. Dr. Dhirendra Singh Parihar

Dr. Dhirendra Singh Parihar has more than 23 years experience, 13 years in senior academic administration roles and 10 years in executive roles in large corporations

Dr. Dhirendra Singh Parihar has more than 23 years experience, 13 years in senior academic administration roles and 10 years in executive roles in large corporations such as Johnson & Johnson Limited and ICICI Bank Limited. Dhirendra has in-depth knowledge of higher education regulations, practices and conventions advocated by agencies such as the University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education, National Board of Accreditation, National Assessment and Accreditation Council and other regulating bodies such as the Bar Council of India, Pharmacy council of India, Council of Architecture and Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Prior to taking up the current position as the Registrar of the University, for three years Dhirendra was the University’s Controller of Examinations. He spent several years in various senior positions such as the Deputy Controller of Examinations, Program Director-Bachelor of Business Administration, Assistant Dean-Student Welfare and Chief Proctor at Ansal University in Gurgaon. Concurrently, Dhirendra also taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as Banking & Insurance, General Management, Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management, Sales & Distribution Management, and Consumer Behavior. Dhirendra holds a Bachelor in Physics (Honours) degree from Jamia Millia Islamia, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management with specialization in marketing from Uttarakhand Technical University, Master in Science-Physics with specialization in Materials and a PhD in management from Sunrise University, in the area of consumer behavior.

Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Kaushik

Dr. Tanuja Kaushik is a true professional with an immense degree of integrity and knowledge. She is a passionate teacher and has more than two decades of rich teaching experience in national and international universities and institutes of repute.

Achievements

She is a good team player, sincere and dedicated towards work and responsibility, with a positive attitude towards continuous learning. She won ‘Best Mentor of the Year’ award in the Senior Leader Category at PNGI in Women Achiever Awards 2021. Tanuja Kaushik has conducted MDPs for Senior Level Executives with diverse backgrounds from Navratna Companies and Miniratna companies and other leading organizations. She has also conducted several workshops at PHD house, New Delhi in joint collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer- Stiftung (KAS), Germany for Entrepreneurship Development. She has delivered sessions and conducted FDPs on Research Methodology & Data Analytics Using Statistical Techniques at many universities/colleges of repute. She is in the editorial and advisory board of journals and has edited proceeding books of international conferences and cases on management. She has published and presented papers at various national and international conferences including IIMs, IITs, FMS, MDI, IMT, FORE, AIMA and others. Some papers have won the best paper award and have got published in Emerald. Prof. (Dr.) Anjali Midha Sharan

Dr. Anjali MidhaSharan has earned her PhD, Masters and Bachelor’s qualification from Delhi University. Her training from Council for Adult & Experiential Learning USA, Laureate Universities Network and several other Institutions, has enabled her in leading several academic and training initiatives for various stakeholders including several senior executives of Top Organizations in domains of IT, Power, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Aviation, Port & Shipping, Telecom and Coveted Government Departments, Higher Educational Institutions & Schools. She has been trained extensively by notable Mentors in the field of Psychology. Her PhD research focused on the importance of beliefs in the process of healing. Through her participation in various forums like the World congress of Spirituality and through various workshops and blogs, she has advocated the importance of positive beliefs in the process of healing and transforming lives, besides creating awareness about various Mental Health issues. Through her Academic administration experience of over 17 years, she has introduced several curriculum delivery and process innovations resulting in improved learning outcomes and student experience. She has also trained several people belonging to different Nationalities, has managed several Programs at International Locations, has extensive experience working with various Indian and American Universities of repute. She has a keen interest in counseling, training and research and is an member of the American Psychological Association and has conducted several webinars and sessions on behavioral skills and stress management. Prof. (Dr.) Rohit Dutt

Associate Dean (Academic) & Dean, School of Medical & Allied Sciences

Prof. (Dr.) Rohit Dutt is a versatile educationist, an admirable administrator, a confident leader, and a self-motivated and influential personality with more than 17 years of experience in academics and Research.

He is a medicinal Chemist with promising expertise in Computer-Aided Drug Design. He has taught Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis-related subjects for nearly 17 years at Institute and University levels. His prowess and intellectual readiness are simply recognized by the fact that some of the mathematical tools developed by him for drug design have been incorporated in leading software being marketed by various multinational companies.

Prior to taking up the current role, Rohit Dutt served in the academic position as a Professor and Head, Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamunangar, Haryana. Before joining Academics, he augmented his skillful expertness in Industrial discourse while working in Stability and Validation Cell, Ranbaxy Lab Limited, Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.

His ‘know-how’ disposition and mastery in Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) field enabled him to conduct rich research in areas of diverse nature. He has more than 60 research/review publications - most of them in international journals of repute to his credit.

He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from M. D. University, Rohtak; M. Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical chemistry from G. J. University, Hisar; and B. Pharmacy from Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology and Sciences, Dehradun. He is also a recipient of a Post-Graduate Diploma in Cheminformatics and a Professional Diploma in Clinical Research from Bioinformatics Institute of India and Catalyst Clinical Services Limited, Delhi respectively.

As a member of the University’s senior management team, Rohit Dutt has developed a comprehensive strategy for improving and refining the student-learning experience through clinical engagements with leading Healthcare organizations. Rohit Dutt staunchly believes in promoting a strong and positive environment of scholarly learning for both students and faculty, to iron out all the challenges associated to 4th Industrial Revolution, and outshine in the glory of knowledge and wisdom.

Conferred with Best Ph.D. Thesis Silver Award by His Excellency, Governor of Haryana in 2017 (On the basis of Highest Cumulative Impact Factor of Publications appended with Ph.D. Thesis). Honored with ‘Best Young Pharmacy Teacher of the Year Award’ in 2015 and 2019 by the Association of Pharmacy Teachers of the India (APTI) and Nirali Prakashan, New Delhi respectively for his excellent contribution in the field of pharmacy education. Prof. (Dr.) Alok Pandey

Dean, School of Management

Prof. Alok Pandey has over twenty years of experience in teaching, training and research and academic administration. His areas of expertise include, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Derivatives, Business Valuation, Mergers & Acquisitions, e-Governance and regulatory aspects of financial system in India. He has taught as a full time faculty member at Institute of Management Technology (IMT)-Ghaziabad, National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM)-Faridabad and Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management(LBSIM)-Delhi. As an Adjunct/Visiting Professor he has taught full term courses at IIM Lucknow, Goa Institute of Management and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. As an administrator he has served as Director-Advanced Studies at Institute of Cost Accountants of India (Statutory Body under an Act of Parliament) and as Director at Institute of Management Studies-Ghaziabad. He also serves currently as Independent Director (Non-Executive) on the board of a major e-Governance company, Chairman of Index Advisory Committee of a national level commodity exchange and a resource person for stock & commodity exchanges, statutory accounting bodies, industry associations, policy think tanks, and several other nonprofit bodies. Prof. Pandey is an external expert for M.Phil. & Ph.D. evaluation work for several Universities in India and has conducted MDPs and FDPs in his areas of interest apart from developing e-learning material for several organizations. Decorated with the Commander de Commanderie de Cordon Bleu title and a recipient of the Rai Bahadur M.S. Oberoi Outstanding Performance award, Dean Rajiv has worked across some of the most prestigious hospitality ventures across the world. Some of the hotels he has opened
are Wild Flower Hall Mashobra, Udaivilas and Veda restaurant in Hong Kong which was named as one of the top 3 restaurants in Asia by Time Magazine.

Prof. (Dr.) Shiv Singh Tomar

Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences

Prof. (Dr.) Shiv Singh Tomar did his Ph.D. from Rajasthan College of Agriculture (RCA), MPUAT, Udaipur after completing his M. Sc. (Ag) in Agronomy from R.B.S. College, Agra and received merit honor of 1 th Position in Agra University, Agra. Dr. Tomar joined MPUAT, Udaipur at CTAE as an Asstt. Professor on March 10, 1980, till then he served University on several positions as I/C Rice Project, Chief Scientist, Water Management, Chief Scientist Cum Head, KVK, Zonal Director Research and Director Extension Education. He also got an opportunity to work with CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) Project for one year and 08 months as senior Level Consultant on Sub Surface drainage project.

Dr. Tomar is having 42 years of academic experience and published more than 200 Research papers, Books, Book Chapters, Extension Articles, Manuals, Status Reports, etc. He was also involved in various National and International Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, etc. Organized and presented Lead & Invited Papers as well as Research and Status Papers. Dr. Tomar is a renowned academician as well as an elevator to the farming community and trained many rural youth/ farm women on several skills based on the availability of raw material in their area. Under his dynamic leadership, the Zonal Directorate of Research, Kota released 5 varieties at the national level and 6 varieties at the state level of different crops i.e., Soybean, Sugarcane, Rice, Rajmash, Lentil, and Chickpea, these varieties are well adopted by farmers. Dr. Tomar is the recipient of 12 Awards at the National and International levels including life Time Achievement Award for his significant contribution in the field of Agriculture (Agronomic Research, Teaching, and Extension Education). He has been a member of the Board of Management and Chairman of Academic, Research, and Extension Councils.

Prof. (Dr.) Manish Prateek

Dean, School of Engineering & Science

Achievements

He is the pioneer in modelling and conceptualizing Industry oriented B. Tech. programs in Computer Science and Engineering in collaboration with IBM India, way back in the year 2010.  Nowadays, such UG Level Specialized Programs framework has been accepted, appreciated and adopted by many IT Industries and by Academia as well.  He has guided 15 Ph.D. scholars in the areas of Robotics, Machine Vision, Ad Hoc Network, Image Processing, and  Multi-Valued Computing Systems. He has published more than 100 Journal and Conference papers in International Journals and Conferences.    Set-Theoretic Rajan Transform (STRT) is one of the biggest contributions made by him in the area of Computer Science and Engineering and due to which he was nominated and awarded as “Distinguished Academician” a lifetime achievement award for his achievement in Academics and Research & Development, by the Board of Directors of Pentagram Research Centre (P) Ltd. in the year 2010. He is also a Fellow at the Institution of Engineers (India) and is a Life Member of the Indian Society of Technical Education.

Prof. (Dr.) Vibhuti Sachdev

Director, Unitedworld Institute of Design

Vibhuti Sachdev qualified as an architect from the School of Planning and Architecture (New Delhi,
1989). After a period spent in practice and research in India, she undertook a Ph.D. in architectural
theory at the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London, 1996). She was later
Lecturer in History of Art at the University of Sussex (UK, 2000) - a post she left to return to India in 2004.

She then worked as an independent writer and lecturer and as a consultant on the restoration of the Jal Mahal, Jaipur. She joined the Sushant School of Art and Architecture as Professor in 2015 and worked there for 8 years, of which 5 years as Dean till 2022. She has published four books and over a dozen scholarly articles. She is now the Director of UID at the G D Goenka University, looking after Design, Architecture, and Art programmes.

Achievements

“My primary area of expertise is Vastu Vidya (India’s classical architectural knowledge system). Many of my publications concern this (Indian Architectural Theory, 1998) and related knowledge systems and their expressions in architecture and art. I have worked extensively on the city of Jaipur, focusing on its architecture and craft traditions. My second book Building Jaipur (2002) uses Jaipur as a test case for exploring changes in planning theory and practice in India between the pre-colonial and post-modern eras. Jaipur City Palace (2008) discusses both the visual and social cultures of the city’s primary royal residence. My fourth book is on the Festivals at the Jaipur Court (2014). I used my expertise in Vastu Vidya in hands-on conservation and design, especially at the Jal Mahal. I have experience of teaching architecture, and history of art at SOAS, Sussex, JNU, and SSAA. Throughout my career, I have managed research projects and academic conferences and I currently hold a senior position in academic administration.”

Prof. (Dr.) Nihal Anwar Siddqui

Prof. (Dr.) Nihal Anwar Siddiqui is currently serving as Director of the Centre of Excellence; Occupational Health, Safety, Fire & Environment at GD Goenka University. 

Dr Siddiqui specializes in the area of Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Pollution, Env. Monitoring and control techniques. In his 27 years of career, Dr. Siddiqui has worked in different organizations like the Institute of Environment & Management, Lucknow as an Assistant Professor, Paryacon Engineers as an Environmental Engineer, and the Environmental Engineering Division of Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute as a Scientist.

Dr. Siddiqui did some pioneering work in the area of odor Monitoring and providing control technology along with Finland Scientist. Dr. Siddiqui has worked as Founder Head - Health, Safety & Environment, and civil Engineering for 16 years at the University of Petroleum Energy Studies, Dehradun. Dr. Siddiqui was involved in a number of consultancy projects, R & D projects, organizing Management Development Programs, International Seminars & workshops, and training programs for various industries during his stay with upes.

Dr. Siddiqui was also associated with the Health, Safety & Environment dept of ICEM College, Muscat, Oman which is affiliated with the University of Central Lancashire, UK. Dr.Siddiqui is an approved tutor to teach international certificate courses like IOSH, NEBOSH UK.
Dr. Siddiqui has received several awards during his 27 years of career.

Dr. Siddiqui has guided more than 250 B.Tech/M. Tech thesis and 21 Ph.D. thesis. He is also having 7 patents on his credit.

Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha R Tiwary

Professor, SOHSE & Assistant Dean (Academic Planning & Monitoring)

Anuradha Tiwari is an expert in the area of Microeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, International Business, Finance & Gender Studies. She has two decades of teaching and holds a research experience in various academic institutions. She is presently working as a Professor of Economics and as the Program Chair for the Undergraduate Program at the School of Humanities & Social Sciences. Before joining GD Goenka University, she worked for nine years as an Assistant professor and Area Chairperson (Economics) at GD Goenka World Institute (Lancaster University (India).

Achievements

She served as an Academic Consultant for The Global Alliance for Sustainable Employment (GASTE) research initiative in India by UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) Anuradha earned her Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Commerce from Jiwaji University; her MBA(Advertising & Public Relations) from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and Advance Certification in Gender Studies from Delhi University(India) Her current research interest is in exploring the intersectionality of multiple dimensions of marginalization experienced by women in the global south.

Prof. (Dr.) Azimkhan B. Pathan

HOD - School of Law

Prof.. Dr. Azimkhan B. Pathan has 16 years of Academics and Professional experience. He has served as a Professor of Law & Dean (I/C) and also Head and Chair for Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies, School of Law Galgotias University, Greater Noida during 2019-2021. He is a passionate learner of law and social sciences. His doctoral work is based on Climate Change Law. He has keen interest in Environmental Law and Comparative Public Law research. He has also worked as an Associate Professor of Law at School of Law, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun between 2015-2019.

He has also been Head, Department of Media, Entertainment and Taxation Law at School of Law, UPES. He has even held the position of Lecturer & Research Associate and also as a Warden for Boys Hostel at Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur between 2009-2015. He had started his academic career from Post Graduate Teaching Department of Law, Nagpur University during 2008-2009. He also worked as a Legal Practitioner in the District Court, Yavatmal, Maharashtra and the Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench under Senior Advocate Sri S. Bhalerao between 2005-2007. He is an Honorary Editor of Public Knowledge Project and has also been a Resource Person for the World Bank Project (IIM Kashipur) and organised workshop on Business and Sustainability. He has been a Resource Person in workshop on “Environment Law Adjudication” by Chhattisgarh Environment Board.

He has been resource person for many workshops including UGC Human Resource Development Center, Indore. He has organised camps for Rural Areas for Construction of handmade Water Harvesting through National Service Scheme. Dr. Pathan has in his credit a project on ‘Ethanol Blending: The Way Forward’, conducted with Policy and Legal Research Chamber, New Delhi. He has also authored two books and many research chapters and articles in books and journals of repute. He is regular Reviewer of the International Journal on Human Rights (Taylor and Francis, Scopus Indexed Journal). He is also recipient of many research awards. He is also recipient of Ex-Prime Minister P.V. Narsimha Rao Gold Medal.
