The B.A. (Hons) Psychology programme is structured over 4 years (8 semesters). Some universities offer 3-year versions, but GD Goenka University follows a 4-year model.

It is an undergraduate full‑time programme (4 years) in the School of Liberal Arts / Humanities & Social Sciences. The course covers theoretical and practical aspects of psychology: human behaviour, mental processes, research methods, psychological assessment, etc.

GD Goenka offers several programmes: a B.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Hons) (4 years), a M.A in Clinical Psychology (2 years), and a Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP) (1 year) at postgraduate level.

GD Goenka has tied up with Fortis Healthcare as clinical training partner. Students get exposure to inpatient mental health units, real-time psychological assessments, therapeutic interventions, and multidisciplinary care – ensuring hands-on training and experience.

Graduates can work as:

  • Clinical Psychologists (with RCI registration, where eligible)
  • Therapists / Counselors in hospitals, clinics, NGOs, rehabilitation centres
  • Mental Health Consultants

Yes. For B.Sc (Hons) Clinical Psychology, applicants need to have completed 10+2 with Science stream.

Core courses include psychopathology, psychotherapy techniques, psychological testing, clinical casework, research methodology, statistics, and supervised clinical work/practica.

Independent practice usually requires RCI registration. Since the MA programme is conditionally approved by RCI, once full approval is granted, graduates may register and practice independently. PDCP graduates may work under supervision as per RCI regulations.
