Examination Support Services
The university ensures fair and accessible examination procedures for students with writing difficulties by providing or allowing the use of scribes. Additionally, extra time is granted to differently-abled students during exams to accommodate their needs. These provisions are in line with Government Circular ED 5 UNE 204 (dated 5.3.2004) and ED 5 UNE 2004 (dated 22.3.2004), which mandate the following guidelines:

-
Scribe Selection:
Blind students have the right to choose their scribe.
-
Additional Examination Time:
Physically disabled, blind, or hearing-impaired candidates, along with their scribes, are entitled to an extra 20 minutes per examination hour.
-
Qualification Criteria:
The scribe must have a qualification equal to or lower than the student, provided their academic background does not overlap with the examination subjects (e.g., a B.A. or M.A. graduates may serve as a scribe for a B.Sc. student).
-
Special Evaluation for Hearing-Impaired Students:
Recognising that hearing-impaired students may face language and grammatical challenges, their answer sheets are identified separately and evaluated with additional care to ensure fairness.
