The Master of Arts in Psychology is a two-year postgraduate program that provides advanced knowledge of human behavior, cognition, and emotion through theoretical, practical, and research-based learning.
The program is designed to deepen students’ understanding of psychological principles while developing professional skills for application in diverse fields such as healthcare, education, counselling, corporate organizations, and research.
The program also offers opportunities for specialization in emerging and applied fields such as Organizational Behaviour, Health Psychology, and Counselling Psychology, allowing students to tailor their learning to their career aspirations. Graduates of the program are well-prepared for professional practice, higher research, or doctoral studies in psychology.
Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO)
PSO 01 Knowledge & Application:
The program will enable the students to develop in-depth knowledge & application of psychology as a science.
PSO 02 Analytical Skills:
It will equip students with analytical skills, knowledge about psychometric tools, and assessment and intervention strategies for use in the professional setting.
PSO 03 Communication & Ethics:
Students would be able to enhance their skills of communication, teamwork, and ethical functioning in personal and professional domains.
PSO 04 Professional Skills:
The program will expose students to diverse areas of psychological application including counseling, human resource management, psychotherapy, organization-specific skills training, and other branches of clinical and non-clinical relevance.
PSO 05 Research & Solution Orientation:
Students will be able to establish a strong orientation towards research, design, and development of solutions. The program would orient students to contribute to the development of the discipline as well as set them on the path of life-long learning.

Master of Arts in Psychology Admission Requirement
Students who have a 4-year undergraduate degree in Psychology and relevant stream from a university recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
