Dr. Parvesh Lata, Associate Professor and Head, School of Liberal Arts (SOLA), GD Goenka University and UGC Certified IKS Master Trainer has made valuable contributions as a Resource Person in esteemed faculty training programs on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
- UGC’s 6-Day Basic Training Programme on IKS Venue: Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar Date of Lecture: 04 March 2025 In this National-level 6 days capacity building program on Indian Knowledge Systems (03–08 March 2025), Dr. Lata delivered a comprehensive lecture on: “Traditional Agriculture Practices, Overview of Ayurveda and Other Traditional Medical Systems, and their Contribution to Global Health.” Her session explored India's rich heritage of sustainable farming techniques and holistic health systems. She highlighted how traditional ecological knowledge and medical wisdom, particularly Ayurveda, can contribute to contemporary challenges in food security, wellness, and global healthcare frameworks.
- Faculty training workshop on IKS organised by one-day faculty training workshop on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), organized by Siddhanta Knowledge Foundation – an IKS Shikshak Prashikshan Kendra recognized by the IKS Division, Ministry of Education, Government of India at Amity University, Haryana and KIIT College of Education, Sohna Gurugram
Amity University, Haryana Date: 08 April 2025 She presented on “Agriculture and Health Traditions in Indian Knowledge Systems” during a one-day faculty workshop. Her session offered an integrated perspective on the traditional Indian worldview linking soil, food, and health. KIIT College of Education Date: 25 March 2025 Dr. Lata delivered a session on “Overview of Ayurveda and Traditional Medicine in Global Health,” where she emphasized Ayurveda’s preventive and curative dimensions, and its rising global recognition in promoting well-being.
