Introduction: Dr. Prasenjit Mondal is an experienced faculty, who inculcate knowledge and experience to his role as an educator in the field of Heath, Safety, Fire, Environment and Sustainability.

His teaching and research works reflects continuous addition of values and sustainability approaches towards young minds and societies. Practical and field based teaching-learning process blended with application of new aged technologies provides great experience to his learners. He is continuously working towards improvement of critical thinking and problem solving abilities of students.

Work Experience

Dr. Prasenjit Mondal is currently working as Associate Professor at GD Goenka University, Sohna, Gurugra. Before joining GD Goenka University, he has served as Assistant professor at UPES, Dehradun. He is carrying decade of academic experience at various roles including teaching, research, lab development, mentoring, consulting, project works, NAAC, NBA, NABL, ISO audits etc.

Research Interests

A wide range of research topics including Water and wastewater engineering, Air monitoring and pollutant optimization, clean energy, industrial safety, sustainability, agri-mechanization covers under his research interest.

Dr. Prasenjit Mondal has delivered a wide range of courses in the field of Health, Safety, Fire, Environment and Sustainability for under graduate and post graduate levels. He has instructed courses like, Environmental Engineering and Management, Water and Wastewater Engineering, Solid and Bio-medical waste Management, Air pollution and control, Advances in Sustainable Development, ESG and Sustainability, Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis, HAZOP and HAZAN, Safety in Process industry, Safety in Manufacturing Industry, Safety in Industrial Operation and Design, Principle of Safety Engineering.

Awards and Grants

Dr. Prasenjit Mondal has cleared GATE-2011 (Agricultural Engineering), GATE-2013 (Chemical Engineering) and UGC NET-2017 (Environmental Science). He is certified lead-auditor of ISO-9001 (Quality Management), ISO-14001(Environmental Management), ISO-45001(Safety Management) and 1SO-17025 (Laboratory Management).

Scholarly Activities

Dr. Prasenjit Mondal has published more than 40 research paper in his core research area. He has presented more than 20 research articles at various national/international conferences/seminars. 03 edited books been published on his name by renowned international publishers. His 8 innovative designs got granted by The Patent Office, GOI which includes design patents and copy-rights.
