Summary of the Event:
The programme started withwelcome address byProf. (Dr). J S Dhankar. The talk began by Dr. Pradyumn Kumarby first giving students theoretical knowledge about the evolving concepts and terms used in Integrated Pest Management (IPM).He also gave students a perspective to appreciate different roles played by the pest and its allied species to the agricultural fields which are beneficial for the farmers. He emphasized upon minimising the economic, environmental and health risk caused by the pest population.Student’s attentionwere also drawnon habitat management and components of bio control for managing pest population. Dr. Pradyumn also showed videos in reference to the subject to make the lecture more interacting and interesting.
Overall it was very good interactive session between Dr.Pradyumn Kumar and the audience (teachers & students).
