Celebrating Independence day with Shelter Progetto

Department of Education, School of Humanities, Social Sciences as part of Working with Society Program organised a visit to learning centres of The Shelter Progetto on Saturday in Gurugram.

On 13th day of August 2022, The Shelter Progetto organised an event of 75th Independence Day, where the teachers of The Shelter Progetto along with the student-teachers, B.Ed Program of the GD Goenka University made arrangements to celebrate the 75th Independence of our country. The event commenced with a brief introduction to the great history of India’s struggle of freedom by a fellow teacher of The Shelter Progetto. Followed by the introduction, the students of The Shelter Progetto had prepared group performances on the respective patriotic songs where all the students who participated in the event were given prizes for their beautiful performances by the student-teachers of GD Goenka University.

Further, the student-teachers of GD Goenka University along with the respective teachers of The Shelter Progetto had planned a fun activity for the students where the students were more than happy to actively participate, the students were highly energetic with the spirit of winning in their hearts.

The event headed to its end with a recital of the Indian National Anthem and vote of thanks to every participant who contributed to this memorable event.

It was a beautiful day at the learning centres under the guidance of Dr. Kim Menezes,Managing Trustee & Ms. Ankita, Event Manager (The Shelter Progetto), Dr. Parvesh Lata (HOD) and Dr. Mira Mishra (Assistant Professor) Department of Education, GDGU.
