GD Goenka University visited Tihar Jail

The students of School of Law, GD Goenka University visited Tihar Jail on 26 February 2018. They got an opportunity to have a look around in the lush green campus of Jail No. 2. Students got a first-hand experience in the free legal aid cell of the prison where they were briefed about the procedure and formalities relating to the appeal, parole etc of the convicts. Apart from this, they also had a tour of the prison factory witnessing the finest works done by the convicts and to top it all, they got to taste the freshly prepared cookies. The students had an enriching experience about life inside the prison as well as the reformatory approach of the authorities trying to get the convicts back into the main lifestream.
