Budding Data Scientists and Cloud Experts of GD Goenka University meet IBM Solution Architects

During an Industrial visit by Computer Science and Engineering students of GD Goenka University, who specialize in ‘Business Analytics and Optimisation’ and ‘Cloud Computing’ to IBM Client Center at Vasant Kunj, Delhi on 21 Mar 2017, there was rigorous interaction with Solution Architects of IBM. 41 B.Tech (CSE) students of GD Goenka School of Engineering who have opted for specialisations in Business Analytics and Cloud, being offered at GD Goenka University campus in collaboration with IBM interacted with real world experts from IBM. During this industrial visit they learned about creating apps (in particular, virtual personal assistant) using Watson on Bluemix, different APIs of Watson Analytics, they also learned about smart city project solutions and challenges, especially security and its challenges. These students asked lots of questions related to the specialisation that they have learned till now and how they were being used in current solutions offered by IBM and its futuristic relevance. The session started with an introduction to technological evolution through the timeline based interactive board, supported with advanced multimedia and visualization technique.

The experienced solution architects at the IBM Client Center, were not only happy to answer student queries but also encouraged them to keep asking questions and sharpen their skills further.
