Faculty Development Program on Introduction to six-sigma

SoES in association with Electronics and ICT academy, IIT Kanpur, organized five days FDP on Introduction to six sigma during 12-17th July 2021.

The event started with a welcome address by Dr. Usha, Assc Dean, SoES, followed by talk by Mr Chandar Subramanian who has Over 30 years of Professional Experience in Development & Management of huge Corporate IT Applications. He has a Vast experience in domains like, Finance, Banking, HR & Payroll, Content Management, Healthcare, Inventory & Warehousing and Publishing Mr Subarmnian is a Process Consultant for various standards of ISO, CMMi, GDPR and process tools like Six Sigma, LEAN etc He is a professional Trainer, who has conducted over 80 courses, for areas related to Process standards and tools, both for Academic Institutes and Corporate Company employees.

During the workshop, Introduction to Six Sigma, Define phase of DMAIC Process (Definition & Tools used), Define phase of DMAIC Process (Case Studies), Measure phase of DMAIC Process (Definition & Tools used), Measure phase of DMAIC Process (Case Studies), Analyze phase of DMAIC Process (Definition & Tools used), Analyse Phase of DMAIC Process (Case Studies), Improve phase of DMAIC Process (Definition, Tools used & Case Studies), Control phase of DMAIC Process (Definition & Tools used), Control phase of DMAIC Process (Case Studies) were discussed on each day. The event was open for faculty members from all domains. There were more than 500 participants in workshop
