Sessionon ‘Scope of Science Graduates and Computational Mathematics’

Dr. Naresh Sharma and Dr. DeepikaGarg, School of Engineering, G D GoenkaUniversity conducted a session atDronacharyaGovernment PG College, Gurgaonon February 7, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

In the first part of the session Dr. Naresh Sharma discussed the career objectives for the science graduates. Title of his talk was “Scope for Science Graduates”. He guided the studentsfor different courses that they can opt for higher studies.

Afterwards with an objective of giving the young minds a platform to understand and learn the importance of computational mathematics,Dr. DeepikaGargdelivered a talk on the topic titled “Computational Mathematics”. She discussed mathematical research in different areas of sciences where computing plays a central and essential role asComputation in research is prominent.
A total of90 studentsattended the session. Participants ranging from different fields such asB.Sc Physics, Chemistry and Mathematicscreated a truly diverse learning environment during the session. Students enthusiastically participated in quiz organized at the end of lectures.Students also raised many queries related to carrier opportunities. Thesession washighly appreciated by all the participants.
