Site Visit for Civil Engineering Students: ILD Constructions, Gurgaon

On 28th September 2016, the students of second and third year of Civil Engineering Department went on an industrial visit to ILD Constructions, Sohna road, Gurgaon. International Land Developers, ILD, was founded in 2006. The organization has successfully inculcated a high level of professionalism and a process-oriented work culture, with a strong focus on exceeding customer\'s satisfaction.

The students learned about foundation, batching plant mix design and testing of materials. The site engineer guided the students about the quality control and procedure for testing of material. The students got to know about the mixing of all the materials for preparation of concrete with the help of batch mixing. They also informed the students about the new construction techniques used by them. Overall,the visit was very informative and motivating.The students were very enthusiastic about getting to know how things take shape on an actual construction site and how knowledge they are gaining in classes is applied in practical life.

Department of Civil Engineering at GD Goenka School of Engineering is continuously working towards enhancing the employability of its students by taking students for industrial visits, conducting hands-on workshops & training on latest software such as Staad-Pro, and interacting with industry professionals who come for guest lectures on campus.
