As a part of the experiential training the students were taken to Crown plaza Gurgaon to learn about the fine art of flower arrangement and laundry operations. The functioning of hydro extractors, tumble dyers, Flat pressing machines, collar press machines, dry cleaning machines, calendaring machines, tagging machine were demonstrated for the students to learn its operation and maintenance. The executive housekeeper briefed the students about the house keeping department operation and management as per the IHG standard. Then students were taken to the Executive Suite room to explain about the amenities and facilities provided and also trained the bed making process in accordance with the IHG standards. Varieties of flower arrangements were taught to students to display at the lobby, and at various banquet rooms. Students had an opportunity to learn by hands on, in arranging flowers. The visit also helped the students to learn about the horticulture department and the manufacture of organic compost.
