Summer School at Université Grenoble Alpes, France
GD Goenka University, in its continued endeavour of providing its students the world-class education and access to scientific and technological exposure globally, sent Mr. Pradeep Sigar, student of B.A (Hons) Travel and Tourism to a 2- week summer school ‘Mountains on the Move’ held in Université Grenoble Alpes, France from June 17 to June 28, 2019. The aim of this summer school was to develop an interdisciplinary approach to travel, tourism and climatic changes in the mountain region of Alps along with the rest of the world while experiencing excitement and fun with other students from different countries. Apart from the lecture presentations, the student had the advantage of correlating the theory sessions with field and lab trips to mountain ranges and laboratories of senior researchers, along with visits to abandoned sky lifts and platforms used during the 1968 Winter Olympics and trekking as well.
