The National Curriculum Framework for School Education (2005) emphasizes on constructivist teaching- learning transacted through an enriched curriculum which provides opportunities to learners to connect knowledge to life outside the school. Additionally, the curriculum focuses on music, dance, visual arts and theater, based on interactive approaches and not instruction to develop aesthetic awareness as well as enable children to express themselves in different forms. In light of above, School of Education (SoED), G D Goenka University organized a workshop on “Celebration of an Iconic Cultural Figure” on April 27, 2017 from 2:00 p.m-4:00 p.m. in M.P Hall, Block A-1, G D Goenka University campus.
