B.Tech- Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineers convert natural or waste materials into useful or less harmful chemical products. Their educational background provides them with an opportunity to work in a variety of industries like oil and gas industries, food industries, energy industries, chemical and allied products, utility companies, pharmaceuticals, government departments etc.

B.Tech – Civil Engineering

Civil engineers are required to execute the construction of civil structure as per the technical design and specifications. Civil structure includes roads, railways, buildings, airports, water treatment plant, off–shore structures, atomic power plants, bridges etc. Major employers that employ civil engineers include construction companies, precast construction companies, developers, design and management consultancies, cement and ready-mix concrete manufacturers, power plants, oil and gas exploration companies, etc.

B.Tech – Computer Science and Engineering/ Specializations (Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning/ Cyber Security /Internet of Things)

Computer Engineers invent and design new ways to approach computing technology and find innovative uses for existing technology. They study and solve complex problems in computing for IT, Business, Medicine, and Science to name a few. They plan, coordinate and direct computer-related activities in an organization. Hardware engineers research, design, develop and test computer systems and components such as processors, circuit boards, memory devices, networks and routers.

This program enables one to contribute both in the area of hardware and software design of computer systems. Opportunities exist in the area of Design Engineering, Computing/IT Consulting and Solution Developers. Graduating engineers can work as System/Network Administrators, IT Managers, Software Developer, Hardware Engineer, Software Engineer, System Designer, System Analyst, Networking Engineer and Database Administrator.

The specialization programs focus on the latest trends and specific attention is given to futuristic technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning (AI & ML), Cyber Security and Internet of Things. In AI &ML specialization students in addition to regular BTech (CSE) courses will study modern machine learning algorithms and techniques, Artificial Intelligence techniques, Natural Language processing and how to apply them using modern programming languages like Python 3 and R programming.

In Cyber Security specialization students will study additional courses focusing on penetration testing, hardening, ethical hacking, advance networks and some of the modern tools.

Internet of the things specialization students will learn about IoT devices, sensors, pin diagrams, circuits, Web services, how to create a complete IoT based system and monitor it.

B.Tech – Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The graduate will design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products. They will perform calculations to develop manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications. They will investigate, evaluate problems, and recommend solutions. Mechanical engineers analyse problems, design or redesign devices or subsystems using computer-aided design. They investigate system failures or problems to diagnose faults and recommend remedies. They design, develop and test prototypes of devices, analyse the test results and change the design or system if needed and oversee the manufacturing process for optimized production. They review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flow and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services. Their job also involves developing quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize cost.

B.Tech Mechatronics

This Engineering programme combines mechanical design, manufacturing and electrical control systems.  The complexity of technical systems continued to evolve, the definition had been broadened to include more technical areas. The graduates work in the area associated with the analysis, applied design, development, implementation, and oversight of advanced mechatronics systems like automation, Human/Machine Interface etc.

B.Tech – Petroleum Engineering

Petroleum engineers design equipment to extract oil and gas from onshore and offshore reserves deep underground, Develop systems to drill in oil and gas fields, and then to recover the oil and gas. They ensure that field equipment is installed, operated, and maintained properly. They evaluate the production of wells through surveys, testing, and analysis.  They are also involved in developing new technologies such as fracking.

M.Tech – Production Engineering

Production engineering is a combination of manufacturing technology, engineering sciences with management science.
