GD Goenka School of Medical and Allied Sciences celebrated ‘Gandhi Jayanti’

GD Goenka School of Medical and Allied Sciences celebrated ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ to mark the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. The celebration started with a lovely prayer ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ followed by a short film on the inspiring life events of ‘Bapu Ji’. Mr. Atul Kumar Nasa, Deputy Drugs Controller, Drug Control Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi was the Chief Guest for the day. He enlightened the audience about the ‘Role of Pharmacist in Recognizing and Preventing Prescription Drug Abuse’. He motivated budding pharmacists to follow Gandhi Ji’s principle of simple living and high thinking. He exemplified various ways and means to combat ever increasing cases of drug abuse through Good Pharmacist Practice. He emphasized on the fact that there is dire need of pharmacists to be more vigilant and educative towards patient care to eradicate the prescription drug abuse. Celebration ended with an inspiring speech by Ms. Suhani Sinha followed by a prayer ‘Vaishnav Jan ko Tene Kahiye’. Students and faculty members thoroughly enjoyed the day with learning on Gandhi\'s view-point pertaining to value education.
