Environmental Changes and COVID-19 Pandemic
The School of Engineering and Sciences organized an online Guest lecture titled "Environmental Changes and COVID -19 Pandemic " on 29th Sept from 10:30 am -11:30 am by Prof.(Dr.) C.P Kaushik Co-Chairman, Environment Committee, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. Total 100 Students and Faculty members attended this session.
Prof. (Dr.) C.P Kaushik started his talk with the description regarding mechanism of SARS-COV-2. He highlighted the origin of virus, role of environment before Pandemic and after Pandemic. Moving towards the global environmental changes due to COVID-19, Prof. (Dr.) C.P Kaushik also emphasized on interconnection of climate change and disease outbreak.
In the last minutes of his lecture he focused upon ways and lessons from Pandemic and Managing Multiple Crisis: Pandemic and Climate Change Induced Disasters. Finally he ended his talk by introducing the post COVID approaches for sustainability. Students also interacted with Prof. (Dr.) Kaushik and asked question pertaining to the talk. This session virtual provided the students and faculty members a platform to understand detailed interconnection between Environmental Changes and COVID-19 Pandemic. The session was concluded by giving vote of thanks to Prof. (Dr.) C.P Kaushik
