Workshop on Meal Planning
The School of Education (SoEd), G D Goenka University organised a “Workshop on Meal Planning” on April 20, 2017 for the student teachers of Integrated B.A. B.Ed. and Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. programmes. The resource person of the workshop, Ms. Shivani Sharma, Assistant Professor, School of Medical and Allied Sciences (SOMAS), G D Goenka University acquainted the student-teachers with the nutritional and health needs of children. Besides the nutritional needs, the student-teachers developed an understanding of the mal nutrition as well as preventive measures and care during common ailments. Furthermore, the workshop aimed to enable the student-teachers to develop diet chart based on the age of the learner.
The workshop was a learning experience coupled with fun and enjoyment, as student- teachers prepared numerous nutritional snacks during the workshop.
